This quilt's soft and subtle shades of pink and brown echo the hues of the rocky high desert soil  around my home.  The parallel "track" pattern was inspired  by the sound of the Amtrak train in the distance, passing once a day on the historic Southwest Chief route across the West. This quilt is made from linen and cotton, with U.S. grown cotton batting. It is the perfect size for a crib, or to use as a throw on the sofa.

Machine pieced and hand quilted, with a hand-stitched double-fold binding.
