In January of 2016, I started a community quilting project in support of Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign.  With the help of Santa Fe for Bernie, a local organizing group, members of the public came together to paint fabric pieces with messages of thanks to Mr. Sanders.  After I pieced these together, we gathered again for a quilting bee.  The finished quilt was given to Bernie and Jane as a gift.
